முத்தூர் - Muthur

Once upon a time, this village was named as Muthu Nagaram and was ruled by King Muthu Raja. After, some time, the English/French people invaded in this place and destroyed the kingdom and culture. Since, then, it became as a village called Muthur. The village is being administered by Thevar community. The village is having natural bonds and temples which is the source of prosperity and god fear culture of village people. It's near to the cities of Tirunelveli and Palayamkottai. Because of this nature gift to the villagers, the villagers became educationist and richer by hard working. So, I am very proud to be a citizen of this village.
